These are various musical projects past present and future
I had a little formal training in grade school that did not last long. But I was always drawn to music and after being exposed to punk rock and then the "brave new wave" in the late 70's (groups such as P.I.L., Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Tuxedomoon, John Foxx & Chrome), I was driven to play with that kind of sound. Further inspiration came through space music such as Cluster, Gong, & The Cosmic Jokers. Equally compelling was the improvisation of Fred Frith, AMM, et. al. Finally the music of Brian Eno and then more academic discoveries such as Xenakis, Ligeti, and the minimalism of Glass, Reich, and Nyman cemented my desires to create challenging boundaryless sound and music. Recently at a screening of 2001: A Space Odyssey, i realized that my viewing this at 9 years old when it first came out was probably my earliest inspiration for challenging, beautiful, cinematic music.
